I’m a firm believer that people, young or old, learn through experience and involvement. My approach to creating a learning environment, be it out in the bush on safari, or in the theatre at school, is to allow my students as much hands on experience as I can provide. It’s one thing to understand, it’s another to put that understanding to use.
Inquiry and experiential learning models in the classroom have an excellent impact on how students learn. A learning journey from page to stage allows an in depth educational experience. The feeling of the final bow and a standing ovation can only be learned through the hard work and effort that brought them to that moment in time.
